Get Rid of Constipation
A good and regular bowel movement is something we usually take as granted. But as soon as people experience a problem with it they want to know how to get rid of constipation. The symptoms we are talking about are a bloated and upset stomach, indigestion and sometimes pain in the large intestines.
It is a good idea to not even let it get that far. A lifestyle and nutrition which will prevent constipation in the first place is all we need. Today we are used to spend most of the day sitting on a chair, be it at home or at work. We need to start paying attention to our colon and do things which are beneficial for healthy bowel movements.
Laxatives should be avoided and your diet should always be rich in fruits, fibers, grains and vegetables. If you are eating it is important that you take your time. One of the reasons for constipation is the fact that we don't chew our foods long enough. We are living in a hectic world and such eating habits are simply not beneficial to our health. Furthermore, make sure to drink plenty and frequently.
One major cause for digestive problems is the lack of movement and exercise. By moving we actually support and help our bowels with their work, greatly reducing the chance of constipation even to occur. A little walk around the block can already do wonders, so do frequent stretching breaks at work.
What to do if it is too late and you want to get rid of constipation?
The first thing you want to do is drink a lot of water. If you go to some place with foods (like your kitchen) it might actually encourage bowel movement.
Go to your bathroom, do some light exercises like bending and stretching. Massage your lower abdomen carefully. Those exercises and the massage might help to trigger bowel movements. If nothing seems to help you might want to revert to suppositories.
But be advised that the long term use of laxatives is not a good idea. You want natural relief from your constipation and laxatives should only be used as a last resort. Laxatives simply would make your colon “lazy” and you will have the same problem again in no time.
If you finally had success in the bathroom it is time to think over your diet since you want to prevent this from happening again.
Cut down on alcohol as well as on coffee and tea. Those can actually dehydrate your body. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and keep moving.

27 Constipation Relief Strategies
”If your colon is overloaded with toxins,” explains Dr. Mauro, “those toxins will back up into your liver and then into your bloodstream. It's less than ideal circumstances for balancing hormones and bearing a healthy child.”
This first introduction to natural medicine resulted in him meeting other Naturopaths and finally making a life-changing decision. Despite the fact he had just completed a Masters degree in Education, Dr. Mauro abandoned his teaching career, entered Naturopathic College, emerging four years later an ND.
Though he's helped patients with a wide variety of disorders, he's found the most success helping people with gut trouble. “I like the fact it's so easy to see an improvement,” he says. “If you're constipated, only going once a week, and you start going everyday, you KNOW you're getting better.”

Good Food Good Health – Good Liver Health With Regular Bowel Movement
I know it is not a subject we like to talk about, but do you know that being regular as clockwork – having a bowel movement – or going to the loo, daily ablutions whatever you like to call it is really important for liver cleansing.
It is not a something we are likely to talk about over coffee or when chatting on the phone to friends, but it really is an essential function and I cannot stress this too much.

If we do not have regular bowel movements to remove the waste from our body problems can occur. Not going daily has recently been linked with liver problems and bowel cancer.
The time we are most likely to think about our bowel movement is if we become constipated, and if this is a regular occurrence you should notify your doctor and really take a good look at your diet.
If we take care and eat a varied diet of good food for good health and drink plenty of fluids we should not have too many problems. Obviously taking some forms of medication can have a bearing on this.
What one person calls being ‘regular as clockwork’ is not necessarily the same for every one; some people go more that once a day, some say every other day is normal for them. But it does not matter whether you are male of female going at least once a day is vital for good health, makes your body work more effectively leaving us feeling good.
Did you know that our hormones are made in the liver, both testosterone and oestrogen, – and these have a lot to do with the ‘feel good factor’ as well as the important roles that they play every day.
These hormones are then broken down by the liver and excreted through the gut as stools. Your body keeps producing new fresh and bouncy hormones all the time.
Problems can arise if you are not going to the loo daily to get rid of these hormones as they become reabsorbed, going all around your system again and stimulating hormone sensitive areas of your body.
Oestrogen excess is what this is known to be in women and can stimulate development of period irregularities, fibroids and breast lumpiness.
For men, testosterone excess can mean their prostrate may become enlarged and inflamed.
Teenagers who have to many hormones floating around their bodies often have far more spots.
So to avoid having excess hormone problems is really easy, we just need to eat a really good diet of good food making sure we have enough fibre and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to keep our digestive system and tract on track, ensuring a healthy bowel movement is performed daily.
Do not forget to drink the necessary amounts of fluid that our body needs daily as this really does have a bearing on bowel performance. With a lack of fluid the stools become too firm and this can lead to other problems, not just constipation.
Surveys have shown that 40% of the British population drink far less than the required 1.8 litres daily. This certainly does not have to be just water, but can be attained from all drinks including tea and coffee as well as juices. Alcohol should not be included in the daily amount.
In some eastern counties stools are still used for diagnostic tests to show the health of liver function. And in the west some complimentary health practices offer similar tests.
As you know our motto is ‘good food for good health’ and we believe that maintaining your well being through a varied nutritional diet should be everybody’s goal- you are what you eat after all.
How well you eat affects how well your liver performs and also how regular waste products are removed from your system, therefore it is essential to eat good food to support your liver, as good nutrition helps form new liver cells and can help rebuild some damaged cells enabling good health.
So eating good food for good health really is ‘the way to go’ please excuse the pun, it is our motto and should be yours to make sure your bowels work regularly.
Eat well with regular bowel movements for a good healthy liver.
Please give us your ideas on how you believe you improve your liver health.
